Indian Music Appreciation Workshop |
|
This is an informal fun filled interactive workshop designed to give the novice listener an understanding of the basic elements that make up an Indian classical music performance. The mode of teaching will be primarily through practical lecture demonstration. |
It is aimed at beginners. No prior exposure to Indian music or culture is necessary. The goal is that the student who comes out of the course will have a clear understanding of Indian classical music, as well as be able to perform a classical piece at the end of the workshop . |

6 to 9 years |

Ragas- Khamaaj, Bhupali, Yaman, Bilaval, Kaafi |

Guitar Classes |

Basic scale of the Western music system, |

Music Classes - Level 3 |
Age Group: 9 to 16 years |
Children will be taught: |

To sing various combinations / patterns of the Indian music scale at an advanced level |

Voice training techniques |
3. |
Indian Classical Compositions based on Ragas with Raga description ,Taans and Tala system covered |
4. |
Ragas- Khamaaj, Bhupali, Yaman, Bilaval, Kaafi |
5. |
Students can be trained to appear for music exams (Diploma) at the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and Pracheen Kala Kendra |

Music Classes - Level 4 |
Age Group: Adults (Age 16 and above) |
The following will be covered: |

Classical music, light music and devotional music |

These classes are primarily individual classes catering to each individual's levels, interests and needs. Focus would be on a basic understanding and training of classical music, compositions in Ragas and their development, devotional music (Bhajans, Gurbani ) and folk songs. |
